What Our Educators Have To Say

Since 2012, Year 9 Cornish College students have had the opportunity and privilege to work with a variety of communities through our Make a Difference Experience (MADE) program with Infuse Travel. Our students raise funds for educational infrastructure then work alongside community members to provide labour for the projects. Infuse provides excellent leadership and service work that is achievable but challenging for Year 9 students; work that makes a difference for local communities.

Educator – Cornish College

As a teacher of 25+ years experience, I have attended numerous camps. This was the best camp I’ve attended. Why? Partially because of the mature group, but mostly due to the inspirational leadership of the leaders. Every activity was set to the appropriate level and the times of reflection were not overdone. I cannot recall one complaint from a student – that says it all. Deeply satisfying.

What Our Parents Have To Say

My son developed a better understanding of others and why they may behave the way they do. He grew in the confidence that he is a capable human being with much to offer while learning how to communicate with empathy and humour. He also fine tuned his leadership and team skills!

Melissa Goss, Brisbane Grammar School

My son described it as one of the best things he has ever done. We will look out for more opportunities for him to engage with Infuse in other programs.

Parent, Brisbane Grammar School

The school benefits from Infuse Travel programs by the students learning to work together, building leadership skills, getting to know each other and understanding each other on a different level than that experienced in a normal school environment.

Parent, Brisbane Grammar School

I would recommend my child’s school continue running similar programs because the boys came home so incredibly happy!

Australian School Curriculum

Global citizenship and civics are central to what it means to be an educated person in the 21st century. The Australian national curriculum recognises the importance of developing young Australians into competent and informed global citizens with strong inter-cultural communication skills. This involves being able to relate to and work effectively across cultures, particularly within our region of Asia and the Pacific. Four general competencies are recognised by the Australian Curriculum as being essential for young Australians:

Intercultural Understanding

Ethical Understanding

Personal and Social Capability

Critical and Creative Thinking

In addition to the above core competencies, three cross curriculum priorities within the Australian curriculum that provide students with the tools and language to engage with, and better understand, their world at a range of levels are:

1. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Histories and Culture
2. Asia and Australia’s engagement with Asia
3. Sustainability

Many schools have discovered that one of the most powerful catalysts for effective international education, education for sustainable development, and civics education is through in-country immersion.

At Infuse Travel, we offer a range of programs that specifically address each of these priorities, giving students real-world experience to ground their intellectual understanding. Infuse Travel works with educators and supports schools to develop vital student capacities for living and working successfully in the twenty-first century. Our programs helps students understand how ideas of Australian identity are influenced by global connectedness, as well as to consider their roles and responsibilities as global citizens.

We have programs that specifically address each of these priorities, giving students real-world experience to ground their intellectual understanding.

IB Program Alignment

Through our unique and immersive travel programs, Infuse Travel provides opportunities for students to engage with diverse cultures, gain new perspectives, and develop a deep understanding of the world around them. Our commitment to experiential learning and global citizenship aligns perfectly with the IB philosophy, and we are dedicated to creating meaningful and transformative experiences for all our participants. With Infuse Travel, students can broaden their horizons, expand their knowledge, and grow into compassionate, responsible global citizens.

Experiential education is an integral part of the IB program, as it encourages students to learn by doing, reflecting, and taking action. By participating in hands-on, immersive experiences, students are able to connect their classroom learning with real-world situations and develop a deeper understanding of the concepts and theories they are studying. This type of learning also helps students to develop important skills such as critical thinking, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration, which are essential for success both in and outside of the classroom.

Participation in an Infuse Travel programs aligns well with the IB's commitment to promoting international-mindedness and intercultural understanding. Through travel and cultural immersion, students are exposed to different ways of life, perspectives, and worldviews, which can help to broaden their horizons, challenge their assumptions, and foster empathy and respect for diversity. By engaging with different cultures, students can also develop a sense of global citizenship, which is a core value of the IB program.

We provide a powerful complement to traditional classroom learning by combining theoretical knowledge with practical, hands-on experiences. Through these programs, students can develop a well-rounded understanding of the world and the skills they need to succeed in it.

Why student travel is essential!

At Infuse Travel, we believe that immersive school programs are an incredibly valuable and beneficial experience for all Australian school students. Our vision is to inspire young people to become active and compassionate global citizens who are empowered to make a positive impact on the world around them.

Through our customisable school programs, students are given the opportunity to step outside of their comfort zones and experience the world in a meaningful way. By travelling with a group, they develop teamwork and leadership skills while building resilience and adaptability. They also learn how to communicate effectively with people from different backgrounds, developing cultural awareness and sensitivity.

Infuse Travel's programs are designed to align with the Australian school curriculum, offering students unique and immersive learning experiences that complement classroom teachings.

Our itineraries cover a range of subjects including history, geography, science, art, and culture, and we ensure that each program is tailored to meet specific educational objectives. We work closely with schools to ensure that our programs meet the curriculum requirements, and our experienced team of educators and travel experts ensure that each trip is educational, engaging, and aligned with the national curriculum. Additionally, our programs incorporate opportunities for students to engage in community service projects and cultural exchange, promoting intercultural understanding and fostering global citizenship.

Through our programs, Infuse Travel aims to enhance the learning outcomes of Australian students, providing them with a holistic and enriching educational experience that connects with our company's vision, mission, and values.
