Planning an educational tour for your school with Infuse Travel typically involves the three stages below:
Stage 1: Connect and Collaborate
We begin by collaborating closely with schools to understand their specific goals and educational objectives. In our initial discussions, we’ll gather information about the school's preferred dates, budget, goals and destinations. From there, we’ll provide a customised program proposal(s) that includes itineraries, quotes and everything the school needs to know to get your tour off the ground.
Stage 2: Approval and Launch
Once we have approval to move forward from the school, it’s time to start planning the journey! Each school is assigned their own Group Travel Coordinator (GTC) who will guide them through this process. The GTC is the single point of contact at Infuse to provide program information, administrative support and guidance. See them as your expert on speed dial! At this stage, we’ll launch the trip to students and parents in-person, and provide marketing support to generate as much interest as possible.
Stage 3: Pre-Departure Planning
Preparation is key to a successful program, and we are committed to ensuring that all participants and their families feel informed, supported and excited about their upcoming adventure. The Infuse team will deliver detailed pre-departure information sessions, as well as provide financial, administrative and logistical support for both schools and families. So things like trip bookings, finances and payment plans, flight bookings, trip leader selection and training, travel insurance, medical information, risk management and risk assessments are all taken care of. Sound good?

Service-learning is a powerful way of learning that combines hands-on community service with academic learning and reflection. It's not just about doing good deeds; it's about understanding why they matter and how they connect to what you're learning in class. Service-learning has emerged as a key element in supporting students to become active citizens and in enhancing the practical application of their studies. By getting involved in service-learning, students not only become more engaged citizens but also get to apply what they're learning in real-life situations.
The Infuse Service-Learning Framework involves key components: investigation, preparation, action, reflection, demonstration. Below is an example of how the framework manifests for participants on a service-learning program with Aboriginal communities in Australia:
- Students investigate the historical, social, racial and economic issues that have impacted Australia’s Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people since colonisation.
- Students prepare for travel through connecting with Aboriginal Elders in their home communities to begin developing cultural awareness. Once in their travel destination, students meet local stakeholders and project partners to prepare them for engaging in community service projects.
- Students act by assisting with projects alongside locals that help achieve goals identified by community members.
- Students participate in facilitated reflections during their travels, thinking critically about how to support transformational changes in their world and advocate for poverty alleviation.
- Students demonstrate their learning to their school community and are connected with resources for ongoing education, further investigation and action by the Infuse Foundation, which contributes to ending poverty, one of the 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
