Duke of Edinburgh’s Award

The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award is a global youth development program that empowers young people to achieve their personal and community goals. Infuse Travel, a Registered Activity Provider (RAP) for the Duke of Ed Award in Australia, designs custom experiences that help participants meet the requirements for Bronze, Silver, and Gold awards.

Core Elements of the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award

The award comprises four key sections:

  1. Voluntary Service: Encourages community involvement and social responsibility.
  2. Skill Development: Promotes the acquisition of new skills and personal interests.
  3. Physical Recreation: Fosters physical fitness and healthy lifestyles.
  4. Adventurous Journey: Cultivates a sense of adventure and teamwork through exploration and expeditions.

For the Gold Award, participants must also complete a Residential Project, which involves living and working away from home while engaging in a purposeful activity.

Residential Projects

For gold award participants, expand your horizons on an Infuse Pathfinders program by travelling with a group of students from across Australia. Assist at a wildlife rehabilitation centre to care for native wildlife, help rejuvenate Jervis Bay’s Marine Paradise, live in a homestay with a Fijian family, or stay onboard Infuse’s boat in Cambodia to build a house for a floating village. Make friends for life while sharing a purposeful experience!

Adventurous Journeys

Whether you’re planning an expedition or an exploration for your Duke of Edinburgh Adventurous Journey, Infuse has you covered. With extensive operations in 19 countries, an Adventurous Journey (AJ) with Infuse could have you trekking in the Himalayas, exploring the impacts of climate change in Fiji, researching girls’ education in Cambodia, or traversing through local villages in Vietnam or Morocco.
