The experts in risk
management
The health and safety of our program participants is central to everything we do at Infuse. Our expert team is extensively trained in delivering impactful, risk-managed, and culturally-relevant programs for our school partners. All Infuse programs have access to a 24-hour medical doctor on call, as well as a mental health expert. We implement the following additional risk mitigation measures to safeguard the well-being of our participants and provide peace of mind to parents and schools.

DEDICATED SAFETY AND RISK PERSONNEL
The Infuse advisory board, via our partnership Cornerstone Safety Group, consists of a dedicated safety and risk management advisor, a medical director and a mental health practitioner. All Infuse programs have access to a 24-hour medical doctor on call, as well as a mental health expert. Combined with our Australian and international network of industry professionals, Infuse is extremely well-resourced when it comes to safety and support.
Cornerstone Safety Group provides peace of mind to those responsible for managing risks within travel and experiential education organisations. As the only organisation of its kind, they offer comprehensive expertise in risk management, mental health and medical fields. Like us, they believe in the power of community. They believe that protecting human safety is not intellectual property but a shared responsibility.

Highly qualified
Program Leaders
Simply put, our leaders are the best in the field. Not only are they passionate about educational travel and fantastic role models for students, they are thoroughly vetted and trained in accordance with Infuse’s stringent risk and safety procedures.
Safety is paramount. Infuse Program Leaders follow rigorous safety protocols and emergency response plans to safeguard experiences for our school groups. On the ground, each group will have an Infuse Leader who is Wilderness First Aid Qualified, Lifeguard Qualified, First Aid Certified and CPR Certified. On top of all that, they’re incredible people who will ensure every trip is a memorable one.

CHILD PROTECTION POLICY
In addition to mandatory Working with Children Checks, Infuse staff are trained on our Child Protection Policy to meet the Australian Child Safe Standards. In our commitment to developing youth through experiential learning programs, we acknowledge our duty of care and the entrusted responsibility. Our organisation prioritises the safety and protection of each and every student. From the Director to Group Travel Coordinators and Program Leaders, we treat every student with the same care as our own, fostering a secure, encouraging, and supportive environment for their personal growth.
COMPREHENSIVE RISK MANAGEMENT PLANS
Comprehensive risk management and evacuation plans are designed for every program and vendor, with strict review and updating guidelines. We liaise with local and international authorities to assess changing environments and carefully mitigate risks. We’re not afraid to change plans or itineraries if we foresee unnecessary risk. We trust local knowledge and keep an ear to the ground at all times.
Customised Risk Assessments
A comprehensive Risk Management Plan is provided to all our school partners for approval in the pre-departure stage of the program.
Coordinated Incident Response Plans
We design incident response plans in conjunction with the school during the pre-departure phase. This ensures in the event of an emergency we have a clear understanding of roles, responsibilities and key personnel.
24-HOUR BACK UP AND SUPPORT
Our Operations department provides 24/7 backup and support, and forms the Critical Response Team for Program Leaders while programs are running. For remote area programs, where mobile coverage is not available, our staff are trained and fitted out with satellite devices for emergencies, GPS tracking and daily check-ins.

Health and medical
screenings
All Infuse participants complete mandatory detailed medical and emergency information forms prior to departure. These details are screened to ensure participation is safe and appropriate for each student and chaperone, as well as identifying any additional support required.
Participants are also well prepared for their program via detailed pre-departure meetings with their Group Travel Coordinator at school. These meetings will detail how to manage personal health and safety in their program destination and support students as they prepare for their journey. While on the ground, each program is supplied with a comprehensive first aid medical kit which includes epinephrine to treat anaphylactic shock.
COVID 19 Safe Travel
We take the threat of COVID 19 pandemic seriously and as such have dedicated considerable time to ensuring our programs are as COVID safe as possible. Covid19 safety is still important. We monitor both state and national government websites for the latest restrictions and advice. We adhere to the recommended guidelines set out by various state health departments and operational guidelines from the department of education. COVID-Safe Plans and associated policies can be provided to clients upon request.

PROVEN COMMUNITY PARTNERS
We prioritise safety in collaboration with our vetted community partners through regular facility and personnel assessments. Maintaining strong relationships with our partners involves frequent visits and constant dialogue. Our community partners are integral to our extended family, with shared goals to enhance operations and provide top-notch travel experiences for our students.
