This morning your Infuse will meet you at your school and take you on a 1.5 hour bus ride to the rural Lake Somerset. Today will be a fun filled day, you’ll learn correct paddling techniques, rescue techniques and reading a map of the Lake. Take turns in leading the group on your adventure and participate in some water based games!

Cruise to your lakeside campsite and set up for the night, watch the sunset over the glassy lake before eating dinner under a blanket of stars!

Day 2 Lake Somerset to Elanda Point

Wake up bright and early to the birds singing on the Lake. Pack up camp, have some brekkie and prepare for your paddle back to the bus. During your paddle this morning, practice some of the skills you’ve learnt with a few games and competitions. Eat some lunch on the grassy bank and enjoy some time swimming in the Dam.

This afternoon, say farewell to the lake as your Infuse Leaders drive you to your next destination, Elanda Point. Here, you will recharge and refresh at the campsite overnight as you prepare for your next leg of the journey, through the Noosa Everglades.

Overnight: Noosa

Day 3 Noosa Everglades

Wake up to the mirrored views of the Noosa River. Pack up camp, have some breakfast and get ready for a journey to remember! Pick up your Canoe at Elanda Point and start your paddle to the Noosa Everglades.

The first stop on your journey will be the Kinaba Information Centre, stretch your legs and wander around the centre to gain some further knowledge into the area. After, jump back into your Canoe and paddle to your campsite for the evening, Fig tree Point. Set up camp and get ready for some stargazing!

Overnight: Figtree Point

Day 4 Harrys hut and Noosa Everglades

Wake up to the sound of cicadas and birds singing, pack up camp and be ready for a fun filled day on the water. Paddle for 5km before stopping at Harrys hut for lunch and a well-deserved break. After lunch, visit Harrys Hut and learn about the history of the Hut and how it’s still standing today!

Continue your paddle journey for another 8km, watch for birdlife and fish as you paddle down the everglades towards your final campsite, Campsite 3. Set up Camp and enjoy a well-deserved rest and a dip in the river.

Overnight: Campsite 3

Day 5 Journey home

This morning, pack up Camp and jump in your canoe, glide through the flat mirrored water as you get ready for your longest day on the water. It’s a 19km paddle back to your starting point, Elanda Point. Once you’ve made it to Elanda Point, have some lunch and relax before jumping on the bus back to Somerville House.

Say Farewell to your Infuse Program leaders, we hope you’ve enjoyed your trip and learnt some new skills!
