Accompanied by expert sea kayaking guides, you will learn the basics of reading winds, tides, and how this affects sea kayaking travel. Travel through ancient volcanic landscapes that were home to the Indigenous Ngaro people for thousands of years. Enjoy the crystal clear blue waters and white sands of this tropical paradise!

Day 1 - Your journey begins! Travel to Airlie Beach

Time to start your journey to the Whitsunday Islands! Take to the skies and keep an eye out the window as soon as you start to see the incredible Whitsunday Islands, surrounded by aqua blue water and white sands! Land in the small town of Proserpine, 20 minutes inland from Airlie Beach. Grab your bags and board your shuttle bus and make your way to the heart of the Great Barrier Reef, Airlie Beach. After arriving at your accommodation, you’ll be greeted by your sea kayaking guides. Use the remainder of the day to explore Airlie Beach and swim in the warm northern Queensland waters.

Day 2 - Sea Kayaking Adventure!

After a hearty breakfast, get ready for an epic day of sea kayaking! Hop on a shuttle to Shute Harbour and reunite with your guides. Board a water taxi to stunning Whitehaven Beach. Set up camp among coastal flora and spend the day paddling to Haslewood Island. Explore Windy Bay and Chalkie’s Beach, with breathtaking snorkelling along the way. Return to camp, enjoy dinner with a view, and watch the sunset over Whitsunday Island.

Day 3 - Kayaking to Paradise

Rise early and paddle along Whitsunday Islands east coast, exploring Whitehaven Beach. Spot Humpback Whales in Solway Passage. Trek to Hill Inlet for a view of turquoise water and swirling silica sand. Look out for stingrays, turtles, and reef sharks. Return to Whitehaven Beach for more snorkelling, relaxation, and beach games.

Day 4 - Island Magic

Wake up to a stunning sunrise over Solway Passage. Embark on hikes from Whitehaven Beach, enjoying panoramic views of the 17km stretch. Pack up and get picked up by the Water Taxi to Henning Island. Set up camp, explore, kayak, and snorkel. Enjoy a delicious cooked meal and a peaceful night on the Whitsunday Islands.

Day 5 - Epic Kayak Expedition

Pack your gear and paddle to Dugong Beach, exploring mangroves and spotting turtles. Hike to Whitsunday Peak for a 360-degree view. Return to camp, watch the sunset, and savour a tasty meal.

Overnight: Dugong Beach, Whitsunday Island

Day 6 - Island Hopping Finale

Transfer to the Molle Island group. Set up camp on South Molle Island and explore walking trails, snorkel spots, beautiful beaches, and an abandoned resort. Rest up for the kayak journey back to mainland Australia, concluding your unforgettable expedition.

Overnight: Sandy Bay, South Molle Island

Days 7 Paddling Homeward Bound!

Pack up your kayaks and gear for the final leg of your journey back to mainland Australia. Paddle around South Molle Island’s eastern coast and stop at Denman or Planton Island for a refreshing lunch break. Bid farewell to the Molle Island Group and embark on an open water crossing to the Inner Islands of Shute Harbour. Keep your eyes peeled for migrating Humpback Whales, Pilot Whales, Minke Whales, and playful Bottle Nose Dolphins breaching in the Molle Passage! Take a swim at your last island, White Rock Island, before heading back to where it all began, Shute Harbour. Celebrate with your friends, return to Airlie Beac for a well-deserved shower, and treat yourselves to some delicious pizza!

Board a barge and head out to the islands to remove single-use plastic that has washed up on pristine beaches. Learn about the impact of single-use plastic on our environment and turtle population. Day 8 - Beach Clean Up

After a night of celebration, it’s time to give back to the beautiful islands that became your home. Join forces with Eco Barge Clean Seas, a local turtle rescue and beach cleanup organisation. Board a barge and head out to the islands to remove single-use plastic that has washed up on pristine beaches. Learn about the impact of single-use plastic on our environment and turtle population. It’s time for one last morning together. Enjoy a team-cooked breakfast and participate in a reflective ceremony with your peers. Bid farewell to the Whitsundays and head to the airport, ready to share your remarkable stories with family and friends!
