Infuse Program Leaders will greet you with a warm welcome on arrival for your WA school excursion.

This afternoon will be spent around Perth and Fremantle. First, you’ll have an orientation to the service learning tour and settle into your hostel.

Then we’ll head to the famous Cottesloe Beach for a swim. We’ll finish the day with a fish and chip dinner while watching the sunset over the Indian Ocean.

This morning we begin our journey to the Pilbara! Our flight will take us about 1000 km north-east to Newman, a remote mining town in the vast desert outback of WA. This is the beginning of our outback adventure experience! On this leg of our service learning tour, you’ll be introduced to a local Aboriginal community.

Visit BHP’s Mount Whaleback mine, one of Australia’s largest open-cut mines. Here you’ll learn about the process of mining iron ore and how it is transported by rail to Port Hedland for shipment.

Spend the remainder of the day meeting local community leaders. Deepen your understanding of the complexities of life in the Pilbara and the impact of competing value systems.

Today is all about giving back. On this part of the service learning tour, you’ll support sustainable community projects with Infuse community partners. The projects can vary, from helping to run after-school activities at the youth centre or supporting the elderly. Alternatively, you might be helping local Martu people with gardening and maintenance at the Martu Farm, a charity-backed initiative.

The next 2 days of this school excursion will be spent visiting and immersing yourself in a remote community, where you’ll engage in shared learning activities with Martu youth and elders. Help design and lead games and activities for local students, while also preparing and enjoying meals with the community.

As you connect with local residents and swap stories, you’ll deepen your understanding of Aboriginal Australia and learn what it’s like to live in such a remote location.

Say goodbye to Newman before hitting the road to Karijini National Park. Here you will explore and adventure through rugged landscapes, stunning gorges, breathtaking waterfalls and sparkling rockpools.

Enjoy the afternoon exploring and swimming at Fortescue Falls and Fern Pool.

This evening you will experience one of the most stunning night skies as you stargaze with your friends.

Wake up to the sounds of the birds and the smells of the wildflowers. Today we venture to Knox Gorge, Oxers Lookout and Kermits Pool. You’ll witness a 90 ft waterfall, panoramic views and many natural wonders in between.

It’s time for this school excursion to head to one of the most amazing coastlines in the world and the world-famous Ningaloo Reef, a UNESCO World Heritage-listed site. Ningaloo is also the only place on earth where you can access a large, biodiverse coral reef so easily.

Your destination is the coastal town of Coral Bay. Coral Bay is full of turquoise blue waters, coral reefs, an abundance of marine life and nesting turtles!

Head out on a boat to explore the spectacular Ningaloo Reef on a snorkelling expedition like no other. This coral reef is world famous with thousands of marine species to discover. While you snorkel look out for manta rays, turtles, fish, dugong and colourful coral. We guarantee you’ll be impressed and left awe-struck!
