Overnight: Infuse Eco Lodge, Momi BayMorning: Workshop #1 - Orientation and Experiential Learning. Welcome! Today’s workshop will investigate barriers and opportunities to experiential learning in our school communities. We will brainstorm ways to increase student engagement, improve behaviours, increase self development and ensure successful future pathways for students.
Afternoon and Evening: This afternoon, you will begin work on a community service project in one of the villages neighbouring our Momi Bay Eco Lodge. Through decades of work in the community, Infuse has developed strong relationships with the local villagers and our service initiatives are an extension of these ties. All our projects are designed with a grass-roots approach benefiting the community, locals and students/teachers and align with the UN Sustainable Development Goals. Examples of service projects include building toilets in a rural village, repairing homes for families in need or improving local school facilities. Don’t worry, no construction experience is necessary as you will be working alongside community members and have the opportunity to learn new skills, get to know some of the locals and give back to the community you are visiting!
Head to a historical lookout point at sunset tonight and share stories from the day before dinner as a group back at the eco-lodge.
Overnight: Infuse Eco Lodge, Momi BayAfter breakfast and a morning language lesson, head to Sigatoka Sand Dunes National Park. After a full day of exploration, you will head back to the base house for a debrief and dinner by the pool.

Today we’ll dive into how we can include real world skills into the school curriculum. We’ll take a look at current trends and data, and highlight ways to provide classroom experiences with students that put them at the centre of their own learning.
Afternoon and Evening: This afternoon you’ll help prepare and distribute meals as part of the Infuse Meal Program Service Project for disadvantaged mothers and children. One of our most rewarding projects in Fiji! Spend a few hours learning to cook Indian and Indo-Fijian dishes commonly enjoyed along the coast of Viti Levu Island. Your teacher, Shalini, will welcome you into her home and teach you the colonial history of Fiji, and the resulting Indian community she is a part of, all while teaching you to make some of the best food around. When you’re done cooking, pack the food up and bring it into Nadi town, where you will deliver meals to a shelter for vulnerable women and children. Infuse Travel’s programs in Fiji have been supporting this shelter for many years, and today’s activities are always a highlight of the trip.
After dinner tonight your local program leaders will teach you how to Meke - a traditional Fijian dance!
