Today you embark on your journey to French Polynesia! Arrive into the capital Papeete on the island of Tahiti. Your program leaders will be eagerly awaiting your arrival and transfer to your accommodation for a good night’s rest after the long journey.

Overnight: Lodge/Hotel, Tahiti

You’ll wake to the sweet Tahitian air and birdsong this morning and have an orientation about the week ahead over breakfast. After getting to know your program leaders you will board a ferry for a short boat trip to the beautiful island of Moorea. Moorea, your island home for the week, is a lush, mountainous island known for its turquoise lagoons, rich Polynesian culture, pineapple plantations, and relaxed blend of adventure and authentic island life.

Upon arrival, students settle into your accommodation and meet their local hosts and teachers. You’ll settle into the relaxed island life this afternoon by exploring Moorea’s scenic bays, lush landscapes, and village communities while starting to learn key French phrases through conversation and observation.

Overnight: Lodge, Moorea

Today will be your first of four structured French lessons taught by FLE (Français Langue Étrangère) certified teachers and will focus on building vocabulary and confidence for real-life situations. In the afternoon, you’ll take part in a guided hike through the Opunohu Valley, learning about the island’s flora, fauna, and legends while practising French in a natural setting. The day ends with an evening of interactive games designed to strengthen conversational skills in a fun, relaxed atmosphere.

Spend the day on a nearby motu (small islet) as you have your second French lesson on the island and continue to expand your vocabulary and conversation skills in paradise. Enjoy a traditional island-style lunch before taking part in team challenges and a treasure hunt this afternoon! It’s a day of sun, sea, and immersive learning.

Overnight: Lodge, Moorea

Continue developing language skills during your third morning French lesson today. Later this afternoon take part in hands-on workshops such as weaving, cooking, and Polynesian dance or music. The day concludes with a festive evening celebrating Polynesian traditions and student achievements in both language and cultural learning.

Overnight: Lodge, Moorea

You’ll have your final French lesson this morning and then students will spend the afternoon discovering Moorea’s rich culture and history. This afternoon, visit Te Fare Natura, a local ecomuseum that celebrates Polynesian culture and biodiversity. Nestled in the heart of the picturesque Opunohu Bay this eco-museum offers a fascinating exploration into local marine and terrestrial ecosystems. Watch sunset at the beach this evening then head back to the lodge for songs, laughter, and shared stories!

Overnight: Lodge, Moorea

Return to Tahiti and spend the day touring the island, exploring key landmarks, coastal scenery, and local markets. Students engage with locals in French at the markets and shops, putting their communication skills to the test in real-world interactions. The program concludes with a closing ceremony and farewell dinner where students reflect on their week of learning, adventure, and cultural exchange.
