After touching down in Sydney, it’s time to hit the road and make the short 3-hour journey to Port Stephens. On arrival at Port Stephens, you will receive a warm welcome and orientation from your Infuse Program Leaders.

This afternoon, you’ll embark on a breathtaking short hike to the summit of Tomaree Head. From the top, you can see as far as Cabbage Tree and Boondelbah Islands – these nature reserves are the world’s only nesting sites for the endangered Gould’s petrel. Be sure to check out the historic World War II gun emplacements and keep your eyes peeled as you might be lucky enough to spot dolphins on the way down.

Overnight: Middle Rock

Today on this school group travel tour you will be introduced to a rich and ever-changing underwater world. Enjoy a leisurely cruise through the bay, where you will stop and visit the bottlenose dolphins and then head out to an offshore island.

Once in the sheltered area of Cabbage Tree or Fingal Island, it’s time to strap those snorkels on, dive in and explore the seas. You’ll find an amazing and diverse range of marine life and vegetation – fish, sea urchins, soft corals, and rays, all waiting to be discovered!

After a quick lunch, the adrenaline rush really begins. Cruise around the Stockton sand dunes on a thrilling 4WD tour Mad Max-style. Along the way, you will have the chance to get your feet wet searching for pippies on the shoreline! Experience the thrill of sliding down the sandboarding hill – it can be up to 50 metres high! The instructors will give you all the tips for maximum safety and speed on their custom-made sandboards. You will be having so much fun you will want to go again and again!

Overnight: Middle Rock

The adrenaline continues today as you participate in a morning 2-hour surf lesson. Whether you are a beginner or a seasoned surfer, the surf instructors can cater to all levels. After the 2 hours, I’m sure you will be coming home with some new tricks to show off.

After lunch, we will be partnering with Take 3 for the Sea and Clean up Australia for a beach clean-up. We must make sure we collect all the microplastics and marine debris found along the shoreline.

Now it’s time to start your Bear Grylls training on this school group travel tour! Throughout the afternoon, your expert Infuse Program Leaders will teach you several survival skills, such as creating shelters, learning how to find and purify water, searching for food sources and the importance of knot tying. The Program Leaders will even teach you some important survival first aid!

Overnight: Middle Rock

This morning you will have an immersive cultural experience, inspiring a deeper connection to Aboriginal Australia. You’ll have an opportunity to experience nature and culture outside of your usual environment. Visit secret rock art sites, walk along ancient song lines and learn about traditional medicine. This is truly an experience you will never forget.

As a final school group travel activity, you will be trying to find your zen with a stand-up paddle board yoga class. After this jam-packed week, it’s time to take a breath, close your eyes and find your balance (while trying not to fall in). After a whole group lunch, it will be time to head home for some much-needed rest.

You will then close the week off with our traditional Infuse Ties closing ceremony, a unique and powerful activity that allows you to capture your favourite moments and memories from the past week.

Overnight: Middle Rock

This morning will be a pack-up and final activities at the camp before making your way back to Sydney and departing. We hope this school group travel experience has been full of adventure and enlightenment for you!
