This morning you will make your way to a central Sydney location where you will meet your Infuse Program Leaders who will be with you for the duration of this educational student travel project.

Once the whole crew have arrived, we will pack the van and start the road trip down to Jervis Bay (approximately 2.5 hours). Make sure you keep an eye out the window for some of the 100 pristine beaches along the way! We’ll make a secret stop for a unique bonding experience where you will have the opportunity to swim under crystal-clear waterfalls.

After arriving and settling into camp, you can start relaxing and getting to know your new crew. Your Program Leaders will talk you through an orientation to discuss the week ahead. Get ready for a week to remember!

The next 3 days of this educational student travel experience will be focused on giving back to the local community. Partnering with the Shoalhaven Council, we’ll spend 3 days on various service projects.

Depending on the needs at the time, some of the projects include working with the bush care team to rejuvenate natural habitats for the millions of animals that were displaced during the fire, tree replanting in the national parks, helping out at a local wildlife refuge or hands-on work at a local animal shelter where domestic pets have been placed after their family homes were destroyed. These service projects will allow you to connect with locals and learn about the issues facing this part of Australia.

In the afternoons, we will explore the local area. Expect to go on hikes to beautiful waterfalls, discover ocean caves, partake in afternoon swims and explore local towns.

After 3 days of valuable service work, wake up to a much-deserved beach day! Enjoy a swim, play beach cricket or try to spot dolphins on Jervis Bay’s famous white-sand beaches and clear turquoise waters.

For lunch, you will get to try a famous Husky Meat Pie, then spend the afternoon feeling grounded and connected to our great land when you join an aboriginal cultural tour on stand up paddleboard. You’ll be guided by a local Aboriginal community member as you explore and discover the ecosystems that hold great importance to the Aboriginal people of the Jervis Bay area.

Tonight we are going to celebrate all your achievements on this educational student travel project with a sunset lagoon pizza party followed by an Infuse Ties ceremony.

This morning we will pack up camp for the final time and begin the 2.5-hour road trip back to Sydney.

We’ll be full of fond farewells as you say goodbye to your new friends and Infuse Program Leaders and reflect on what you’ve learned and achieved over the last week.
