That’s a wrap on our latest Program Leader Training Camp on the Sunshine Coast, where the energy and experience of our new leaders was unmatched!
Set against the backdrop of Australia’s beautiful ‘sunny coast’, the May camp brought together a passionate group of new leaders ready to guide Infuse programs across Australia and around the globe. Over three jam-packed days, the team participated in immersive workshops, scenario-based learning and discussions with the broader Infuse team. It was also a chance for the team to connect with key people at Infuse, including our Founder and Director Sam Murray. The ocean dips and beachside laughs didn’t hurt either!
This is our second Program Leader Training Camp of the year. These camps are a crucial part of what we do at Infuse and how we select and train our leaders. Our training camps are designed to enhance new leader’s skills, knowledge and confidence in managing domestic and international programs safely and ethically.

Training covers everything from duty of care and risk management to group management strategies, emergency response protocols, cross-cultural communication and ethical travel practices. Leaders step into real-world scenarios and take part in practical workshops that mirror what they’ll face on the ground.
At Infuse we see leadership as something that’s built through experience, reflection and community. These camps create space for our leaders to connect, collaborate and form the kind of trust and shared purpose that carries into every student journey. That sense of community is a cornerstone of how we work and what sets our teams apart.

The May camp showed us again that we’re not just training a typical tour guide. We’re preparing values-led mentors who create meaningful, high-impact travel experiences for young people. To our newest recruits, thank you for showing up with open minds and boundless energy. We can’t wait to see what you’ll bring to the field!
